The HTEC is a great product...does what it is suppose to do...and does it well...I used it on my truck last year and finished with PO85Rd and it was flawless...HTEC left it 98% done and 85RD was the icing on the cake...

Nice job on the test patch....it looks superb for 1 pass

one pass as in set the machine down and just move it back and forth a few times until the polish broke down? man I`m using the wrong stuff..lol mine would never come out like that.

^^^^^ many variables though....keep that in mind

weather

clearcoat hardness

pad use

technique

speed of machine

speed of movement

etc...

but HTEC is one of the best IMO

Looks good! I have the same exact hood sitting in my shed. It was replaced with this hood.

Jim, you didn`t notice any micromaring? Would you say the PC was fairly effective at breaking down the HTEC?

The PC was very effective at breaking down the HTEC

there was little to no micromaring, almost LSP ready

It is a 76. The hood was on it when I bought the car. I am 28 now and have had the car since I was 18. The body and paint was done 2 years ago by my cousin. I was on a waiting list for 2 years and he slipped me in early. He is very well known around here for his body and paint work. He gave me a good deal at $3000 and that included 2 patch panels, 2 new front fenders, the material and labor!
