Mysterious White Cloud

Well, I sold my show truck for something more modest and am now enjoying the `carelessness` of my new jeep. I removed the spare tire and assembly, just didn`t like the look. But, here is the problem. Where the metal plates attached to the body were, under them there is a mysterious white cloud in the paint. I tried some bug and tag remover, thinking it was on top of the paint, and it didn`t take it off. Any ideas?

Nice liberty. Got any shots of the back of it after you took the tire off?



You could try some Meguiars Scratch-X by hand to see if that would take it off. Kinda looks like some light oxidation. :)



Now get a lift on that thing with some bigger tires so it will look like a real Jeep. :xyxthumbs
