Seems from reading lots of posts here, that a great many of you like the look of z5 pro better than z2 pro. so which is it, which of these two is your favorite for your final coat???

please, lets ignore z8 and z-cs as the final topper for this poll.

It depends on what color vehicle I am applying Zaino to.

On my Millennium Yellow Z06 I like Z2PRO.

Olympic White Escalade I like both Z5PRO topped with Z2PRO.

On my dark Emerald Concorde I like Z5PRO.

On my 67 Black Z28 Camaro I like Z2PRO.

Z2pro on light colors.

Z5pro on dark colors.

It depends:

Lights: Z2pro

Darker: Z5pro

Although that tends to be me rule of thumb, I have been known to go the exact opposite with great results. I love to use both on metallics paint because the pop is insane.

If I really want to go all out, I enjoy using Z5pro, Z2pro, CS, Z8. The look is DEEP, GLOSSY, and durable.

I don`t really understand the question. I thought Z5pro was scratch-filling and Z2pro was the polish on top of Z5pro. I just bought the full Zaino set, but have no experience with it yet -- but from Zaino`s site, that seems like the required order (that`s what I`m planning to do anyway).

Z5pro has so little scratch-filling capability as to be barely worth mentioning IMO. If you have scratches, remove them first with a true abrasive polish. Because of how it looks, Z5pro is generally preferred instead of Z2pro on darker colors by a wide margin. If I`m not mistaken, durability is pretty much the same for both.

(I`m kinda surprised though at how much more Z5pro is preferred over Z2pro in the poll.)

I use Z2pro as the last coat. Usually I do 1 coat of Z5p and then Z2p as the topper, but of course that`s not the case anymore since there`s ZCS.

z5 is more deeper and vibrant with a wet gloss!

z2 is glossy, bright, and wet.

The surface should be well prepped cause zaino is optically clear and it will magnify your prep work.

This was an old clunker escort that I had done and it was so beat up by a detailer. 3 hours of prep and here are the results. I did Z5 x2.

This was taken 5 days after the detail and after a wash. I did a quick wipe of z8.http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q106/rydawg04/98zx2/98EscortZX-2055-3.jpg (http://photobucket.com)

this is kinda the reason i raised the question. most of us have done 2x coats of z-5 pro followed by a coat or two of z-2 pro (and then z-8 on top of those!). but with z-cs (and z-8 on top of that) why bother with z-2 pro anymore?

"just because" i re-did my green metallic truck with dawn wash, clay, z-aio, z-5 pro x 2, z-2 pro, z-cs and finally z-8. naturally this was over a period of days. yes the results were great but i really didn`t notice the z-2 pro adding anything to what z-5 pro had already done for me. i would also guess that z-2 pro and z-5 pro are about the same in durability but with z-cs that doesn`t even matter anymore.

right now i am re-doing my pearl white coupe. i got 1 coat of z-5 pro on it (dawn wash, clay, z-aio). i know folks have in the past said dark colors use z-5 pro, light colors use z-2 pro, but i find that z-5 pro is even better on really light colors that are metallic/mica in nature (like my pearl white car). i think it gives a depth to what would normally just be a glossy shine.

I like CS the best but all have a place.

You need to change it up, I feel that color makes a huge determination on which I use.

On my black cars, Z5Pro

On lighter cars, Z2Pro.
