My first MAJOR detail of the season. I have about 7-8 scheduled in the next two weeks. :)

Just finished up on a 13 hour detail over the course of yesterday and this morning. It’s a 1994 Toyota Supra TT in single stage black. Soft paint but a lot of little scratches all over and some deeper swirls. Owner wanted a full detail.

Process:

Engine – Greased lightening degreaser, spray down, dressed rubbers/plastics

Interior – Vacuumed, Leather cleaned with Lexol, dressed with Z10, rubber vinyl dressed with 303. Capets cleaned with folex.

Exterior –

Wash - Zaino wash with foam gun, and clay with meg`s clay

1/3 of the car’s areas/panels was done by EC with Yellow cutting pad @ 1700rpms.

The whole car got Menzerna IP with orange cut pad @ 1500rpms

Menzerna 106FF with white polish pad @ 1500 rpms finished off @ 1200rpms.

Applied RMG via PC and finish pad at 4.

LSP by hand was Pinnacle Souveran.

Tires dressed with Mothers FX along with lower exterior trim.

Total Process took about 13 hours. I will let the pics do the rest of the talking. Comments or questions as always.

Overall Pleased with the results. The paint at 13 years old wasnt going to become perfect but I would safely say I got about 90% of the swirls and scartches out.

Haha, it`s pretty rare I see these threads anymore and am shocked by the turn around in paint. Seriously, it looks brand new. Did you have any trouble finishing down clean?

Finishing down clean I assume you mean the 106FF... Its actually the first time using this polish as I usually use FPII. 106FF seems to have a bit more cut and finishes down finer. After IP, I had to make two passes in some areas with 106FF to get the left over marring. The poilsh broke down extremely fine. Especially with softer single stage black paint, the 106FF with polishing pad left ZERO micro marring! Im very pleased with this polish. Im a Menzerna FREAK!

BTW, owner just picked up the car and was very pleased with the outcome. :)
