I got to help out the "Detailing World Famous" Bretfraz out on this one. Lee (SilverLexus) and Bret had done a M5 a few weeks ago, same owner for the M3.

As you can tell by the drop and tow hooks, this M3 is setup for the track. Loads of suspension work, ducts for brake cooling, ect.

Process:

Wash duragloss carwash

clay with Z-18 claybar and Z6 as a lube, wipedown with WW towel.

Bret used Optimum compund with a yellow pad rotary on his side.

I used EC/OP mix yellow CCS pad rotary on the other.

We both used ZPC white LC pad PC6

Z6 wipedown

3x Z2pro with ZFX.

Wheels where very dusty due to the hawk pads.

wash w/ old wash mit

Bret hit the hard to reach areas with a small brush

Tires got scrubbed and some Z-16 applied.

After Z2pro, as you can see its starting to get dark out.

Can`t complain about having both of these in your garage:

The M5 was done with ZPC and Z2pro a few weeks ago.

E36 M3`s are timeless, great work. That car would look good 50 yrs from now. Hence why I miss my Avus 95. ;(

Thanks Greg! Hope you guys get a break in the weather soon.

GBG, Thanks! Yes the owner does have a very nice setup. Very nice down to earth person as well.

Thanks Sean! The E36 is still my favorite M3.

Thanks John! Bret is a great detailer and fun to hang out with.

Thanks Nimble! I think the E36, E38 and E39 are still a great design.

Just beautiful! Even before y`all Zaino`ed it, the paint looked amazing! :bow

I got to agree about those wheels. What is it about BMW that makes them put wheels with eleventy billion spokes on cars with horrible brake dust problems (stock BMW pads dust as bad as those Hawks did)? They look perfect in the after pics, looks like you got all the grime off them. :)

Mike, Jim and Scott, Thanks for your kind words.

Scott, The BMW dust will wash off pretty easy. Once the dust from the hawk or any other track pad gets on the wheels and the wheels get wet, its usually a big mess.
