I just purchased a new car, Cayamn S, and have never had a car I needed to take care of like this one. I took her out for her first ride today in OH winter. I got some mud and dry salt-water behind the door and on the wheels.

What is recomened to "touch up" the car without doing the full blown wash? I just do not want the mud to harden on. Is there a product that you can just wet and wash off the mud, dry, and pack her away in the garage?

Yes, a water hose will do the job.

ONR would do wonders

OK, you bought a Cayman and drove it in the snow

Rinse with a hose if it is really bad, then Optimum No Rinse. Don`t try a spray and wipe quick detailer if it is really dirty.

b8factor- If you either don`t have the ONR or aren`t well-versed in its use, I`d just wash it the conventional way. Yeah, it`s a PIA but not as much of one as marring the paint and having to polish it out.

Remember to crawl underneath and clean things off. Salt on aluminum suspension pieces can make for permanent staining.

Oh, and welcome to Autopia!
