Well ive used the search feature for awhile during the last week to find goods and bads on the items im considering. Im ordering microfiber towels from yosteveshop.com and I am going to pick up an assorted type of pads from LC for my 7424. I however cannot decide on a polish system ive narrowed it down between poorboy`s SSR 3 or 2.5 (i dont know which would work best) SSR 1 or Sonus SFX-1 and SFX-2. Also any help on a wax and or sealent would be great. Any help on choosing would be awsome and where i could get the best price on that item thanks in advance.

Did you look into the Optimum line of polishes?

SSR3 is liquid sandpaper it has it`s place if you need something strong

but I would start with ssr2.5/ssr1

ss2.5 will remove some defects and finishes down preaty good

and follow that with SSR1 and you should be happy

(nothing against the other polishes out there but these are the ones I use)

SSR is a dust storm. I love Optimum better.

I would look at that line. And as far as places to buy from, I would check the site sponsors. You have one about an hour south of you. ;)

1.) I hardly get any dust from the SSR line

2.) it`s just dust and goes away very easy

3.) Optimun could be a better polish but I have not used it and therefore

will not comment on it

I would also look at the Optimum Line. Also just an FYI check out forum sponsor Danase he is located in Michigan so you could enjoy really quick shipping ;)

Use SSR with a Rotary. I cannot stand the stuff. I tried SSR and tossed 50% of a bottle in the trash. It makes a complete mess. If you like making more work (and time) have at it. To easy to mar black paint too.

If you are using a PC it might work, a rotary and my 9227 for me, no way.

Jsut saying I tried SSR 2.5 and it sucked. Use OC and OHC, no dust and way longer work time.

sorry it did not work well for you

but I do used it with a rotary (and PC)

on my black z28 conv. and don`t even

cover the black canvas top

so the dust can`t be that bad

Go with the Optimum and Meguiare`s #21 sealant. MHO
