Scott,

Hey man i had a few questions for ya as far as my detail. Here is the process i used on my black 03 cobra: First i used a SSR 1 applied by PC, then i used Cleakote VM Glaze applied by PC, then i topped it with a Cleakote CMW by hand. Is this a pretty good method, and what could i do different to get maybe a little more depth or a darker looking black. Thanks man.

Alex

Does the combo look good to you? In the end, it doesn`t matter what I or anyone else thinks, it is what you think.

The only other thing I`d do next time is use RMG after (or in place of) VM for more depth.

The combo does look great but i was just wanting my black to look a little blacker. But i think this combo works excellent. I only applied one coat of each is that sufficient?

scott you seem to have a dedicated fan base...lol

if you want more depth from the paint, polish one more time and add two coats of a glaze, then a couple carnuba coats...looks will be killer!

Are you sure you only needed one polishing step? Swirls/defects can easily rob a paint of its depth.

Since we have similiar cars let me just toss in a pic.

That is after OHC, OP, EX, 845. That isn`t even my deepest wet combo. If you post pics that`d definitely help us to see what you want to do here.

yeah that pic is what I mean, and I believe with a couple glaze steps, it would look even better! top the glaze steps with a quality carnuba wax, and you will have some stunning results!!!

The car had very light swirls and oxidation, i worked the ssr 1 pretty hard. But maybe i need to go back with the RMG and then another coat of carnabua.

This should simply be the detailing`s official slogan!

I could not agree more Scott.
