Taken today...parked outside 24/7..constant precipitation and tons of road salt and this yellowish brown chemical make washing pretty much impossible/worthless...sure glad I did a full sealant detail before winter..this is certainly going to be a test for it.. Try not to get sick to your stomach..at least have the consolation that I`m feeling sicker because I have to look at and drive it like this... :)

man I feel your pain right now. Tell me that in July/August here in Texas :tumblewee

I envy the somewhat mild summers up north.

Wetworks/Walter thx! Don`t have any full truck shots uploaded unfortunately, only panels. I moved up here from Sarasota..so I know all about the hot (and humid) summers...I liked the heat and the warm weather sports associated..but sometimes ya just gotta follow the paychecks ;)

Lightman - The post where you sealed your truck is one of my favorite posts on this thread. Im sure the good job you did will protect your dodge pretty good. Cant wait for you to post the clean up.

Redwhisky thanks much! I did my winter prep right around November 10th. I managed to wash the truck a couple weeks ago during a warm spell, and the protection was still there, but fading..the beading was looser and bigger. After this latest barrage of salts etc I`m sure it`s probably pretty much toast. I`m still not complaining, 3 full months of parked outside 24/7 in cleveland along with hard driving/towing use(including a trip from cleveland to ft lauderdale and back) is the longest any LSP has lasted me on this vehicle. On my garaged vehicles or when I lived in FL, lsp`s last soo long..it`s really harsh up here.

Next time we get a reasonably warm spell again I`m going to truly wash it, and thow on some CG F-seal and see how that holds up for the rest of the winter comparatively to the ksg/5050 that`s currently being eaten away :)

My parents cars are almost as bad right now :) But I know I have my base protection, so the clean up won`t be too much work.

Pains me to see it that way, and actually those shots were taken after 1 days drive (40km into work and 40km back), and the car was 100% clean before it. Personally I can`t wait until winter is finally over.

Looks ok after a QEW wash from a distance (got streaking for some reason), but its been too cold even for that as of late. Here is a pic of it "clean" from a few weeks ago:

I took it to the high pressure coin op wash this afternoon after posting, and just used the rinse option....I can tell there is some base coat of protection remaining, because everything blasted off with relative ease...unfortunately the roads aren`t perfect and the truck got a little dirty on the way home, but a huge majority of the salt/crap got blasted off, which makes me feel a LITTLE better :)

Eww, looks nasty. Glad I live in the south, althoug it is so much more fun to drive with your truck like that, dont have to worry about anything.

I see your new Toyo M/T`s peeking out there!

Good eye Brandon, I`d expect no less ;) They are at least 90% quieter than the mud grapplers and still are quite aggressive.

Conundrum: I live in Michigan, and drive 45 miles to work each way. My car looks like that after one day. I`m now washing two cars twice per week with ONR. Coin op wash makes the windows & doors freeze shut, so ONR is the way to go.

HOWEVER, I used to live in East Texas. I`ll take West Michigan any day. I can`t take 100º heat, and I can ski here.
