Picked up skis for the family, and a pair was rubbimg against the rear interior light gray pillar of my Cayenne.
How can I clean it without making it worse or having to buy a replacement piece?
And yes, I bought a ski rack so that it wouldn`t happen again.
Your help is appreciated.

looks like it is fabric, in which case I would not use a magic eraser. In my jetta (same material) I used a microfiber with a very lightly damp cloth containing woolite and water.
This or going to a professional detailer with a steam/headliner machine will do the trick.

The fabric is some sort of nylon or polyester I think.

you could just use foam carpet cleaner sprayed lightly on a MF. That`s what i use on spot stains on the inside of pillars and headliner and it seems to work great for me.

Are you sure?
It looks like plastic. It even has an emblem stamped into it.

If plastic: magic eraser, if cloth: mf and apc.

If it`s fabric, try some Folex. I just had to clean off a mechanic`s handprint from the edge of my headliner and Folex and a damp MF made it disappear.
