I`ve decided I need to get a good worklight to do an even better job detailing. Which work light do you guys recommend?

I thought the craftsman one was good until I read some of the reviews about the tripod.

Craftsman WL500DPT-T 250/500/750/1000 Watt Halogen Portable Light at Sears.com (http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=SEARS&pid=03473828000)

I`m hoping not to spend too much (pref not more than $50).

(I`ve tried searching but nothing really definite.)

Honestly, whatever is cheapest IMHO. IF you go to menards, you can probably find a dual setup with stand, and maybe even case for 25 or so bucks.

Yeah, Menards has the Dual setup with a stand for $20.00. Sears had the Craftsman Dual setup w/ stand for $20.00 before the holidays but now I looks like it went up. I don`t think there is much difference between the two so I would buy the one from Menards.

Home Depot and Lowes have the dual set up for 30.00 IIRC.

I got the great big orange ones with a stand from Home Depot, and I just love them. Tons of light. HOWEVER when you have to move them it is a major pain in butt as they weigh around 30 pounds or so with the tripod attached. I don`t use them mobile so it`s no big deal but I kinda wish I had gotten something a little lighter.

yeah, they sell the yellow tripod stand which i believe is made by bayco. i got that in a 3in1 package deal from pepboys a while back for around $25, iirc. works great...

Yup, no complaints here! Now...if it would just warm up enough in the garage to actually get some work done..

Hi,

I have just purchased some Metal Hallide High bay light units. They cost around £50 each but give off a great bright white light that shows up everything. This is in our detailing centre so I guess maybe too pricey but there great...

They are similar to these but ours hang from the roof..
