Could some of the experts please comment on services offered by "Shine Factory" here in Canada (see the attached link).

Shine Factory Public Site (http://www.shinefactory.ca/shinepro/platinum.html)

Particularly, I am wondering about their "Platinum Shine" and "Platinum Rust"? They both offer a lifetime warranty with annual re-application. That is a bold commitment considering the harsh winters in my location.

What product would they use for the Platinum Shine? Would it simply be a paint sealant like Klasse SG? And what about the Platinum Rust?

Could these guys be using something superior to what is used / available to us normal Autopians? Because as far as I know, there is no paint sealant that is going to last a full year in my location considering the weather conditions. Or is their "lifetime warranty" just a bogus ploy to lure customers?

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I am guessing "if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is." But I`d like to hear from the experts.

I don`t want to be mean to them, but I have seen a car that they have done annually and it looked terrible. There was rust all over the place and even rust holes in the floor of the car. With that said, the car was notorious for having really bad rust. If I was you I would get the car undercoated and just wax on my own. I just wax before winter and after winter, and if I am luck when Calgary gets some Chinooks.

Also, if you want to see if anyone has had the rust package done, just go on beyond.ca. It is a Calgary based car forum.

EDIT:

even the car in the pamphlet has holograms :rofl:rofl

Thanks for the replies Sneek, I appreciate it.

I wasn`t really buying Shine Factory`s claims, but I always like to hear the Autopian comments. ;)
