I cannot comment on the `07 Rabbits, my my dad`s first new car was a `79 Rabbit. It had a 3-speed tranny and a diesel engine. That thing ran forever and never required any maintenance. We gave it away (literally) after 12 years of ownership and daily driving.



I am still mad at him over it.

I need to buy a cheapie to leave a the house for our house keeper. Not a Japanese car guy.

I dont want a used car, I need that warranty.



I had many Rabbits, GTI 16v, Scirocco 16v, Corrado, and Jettas, loved them all.

If they`re anything like the 2000-2003 Jettas, I would stay far, far away.

I`ve got an 06 jetta. the rabbit has the same driveline as this one...I like em. I like how they look, how they handle. They`re quite peppy for only 150hp. Very good lookin` car IMO. Probably would have bought one, but they weren`t available when we bought the jetta.
