Could you please reffer me to best places online and locally (I am in Los Angeles / Orange County) to buy Mirka Abralon in small quantities (like few to several pads at the time)?

Thank you in advance!

Try the local bowling alley. Seriously, lots of guys use 2000 - 4000 grit on their bowling balls to get them to spin in better. If they carry it, its almost always a single sheet at a time.

:chuckle: It would have never crossed my mind but it makes sense.

Now I am confused, I thought Abralon doesn`t come in sheets, just in pads?

Thank you!

Mirka Abralon 4000 Grit Disks - Each Five Disks (http://autobodystore.net/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=M8A2414000-5&Category_Code=M3) you can give the owner over there a call and see it he has other grits. His name is Len, tell him Greg in Rochester NY sent you over.

Found this (http://www.toplinespecialties.com/products.php?cat=67) with Google in the top 5 hits on the first page.

I buy mine over at Homestead Finishing Products (http://www.homesteadfinishing.com/htdocs/Mirkaabrasives2.htm) cause you can by as little as one at a time (for whatever good that is)

Woodworking sites and suppliers also will carry Abralon (http://www.mirka-usa.com/products/brands/abralon.htm) and yes it only comes as pads.

Sorry, I tend to use sheet/pad interchangeably when referring to sandpaper. Yes, it does come in the circular pads. That is what they will have if they carry it. Sorry for the confusion.

P.S. Did any of you have a chance to compare it against Micro Mesh? MM is confusing the hell out of me with their different scale. Somewhere on their Web site I read their 12000 is equivalent of 2500 but over the phone when I asked does that mean Abralon in 4000 is finer than their 12000 their answer was non-commital and along lines "it`s apples to oranges, you will have to try and draw conslusion yourself".

Stick with the Abralon. Since you didn`t state it I`m assuming you plan on using the product for some type of finish work a car panels.

Well Mirka market`s Abralon for that.

You are correct, I am gathering supplies to try my hand at learning wet sanding for the purpose of correction, at least in small areas, since there are several spots on my car that would benefit from it.
