I`ve seen many Daimler-Chrysler vehicles with the trim that runs right up the side in between the front and rear windows of the cars, and also the mirrors alot of times if they are made of the same black material have an oxidized, worn look. The finish turns purple/hazy/cloudy and looks like crap. My sister has a 2001 PT Cruiser and I plan on doing a full detail on it with my PC, but I need something to fix this problem. Has anyone had any experience with this??

One Grand`s Plastic Polish works well on this type of material. AIO also works well.

I have a 2003 PT Cruiser and had a problem with the vertical trim on the doors between the windows. Those are made of anodized aluminum, not plastic like the mirrors. I went at mine with some Megs Gold Class wax and they came out like new.
