This has got to be the best winter break ever. Last week it was the Lotus Elise this week a 911 Turbo. This is an absolutely amazing car. I rode in it once a while ago and its like the hand of god pushing you down the road. Anyways the car was in pretty good shape. Light swirls all around. I was able to get the car 90-95% perfect. I know some of you would have bumped it up and used IP to get everything perfect but I did not feel that is really necessary. Neither I nor the owner wanted it 100%. This was my first silver car I have done (have mainly done black ones). It is 10x hard to see stuff on this color. Swirls do not show very well under direct light and you have to get at angle to see them. Also getting off wax when it is clear is a bit difficult. Anyways on to the pics.

Exterior:

Menzerna FF II with Sonus DAS green pad

Poli-seal with Sonus DAS blue pad

#26 Hi-tech by hand

AIO in door jams and head/tall lights

Sonus Tire and bumper- on trim and tires

Armour all something on wheel wells- all I had laying around.

Interior:

Gold Class Aloe leather treatment

303 Aerospace protectant on plastic and vinyl- I really like this stuff.

After. Like I said 90-95%. At least thats what I would call it. Keep in mind thats with the camera zoomed in. In order to see those you have to be less than 6in from the paint.

I thought this was a really cool shoot with the wax on the car.

Yes thats what you think it is. Built in Valintine 1. Cleanest install ever. The owner said it came with the car when he bought it used. I have searched and searched and found nothing else like it. Anyone know where to get one like this?

Very nice work on a very nice car!

Try a really good car stereo install place. If you`re in WA, OR, CO, or parts of TX try Car Toys. Take them the picture and see if they can do it. I know the one I used to work at did stuff like that no problem. Probably not cheap at all though. Good luck!

The rearview mirror for V1 you can actually buy, had it in the last Porsche as well. My suv I have a V1, actually an original that was a present when I got my 1st vehicle, and they had used it for a few years before (so 10+ years old?), still works great and isn`t even the updated version. We`ve had Passport 8500`s and I`ll still take my original no update V1 over them lol. I can`t remember where we got ours, was off a Porsche site, but if you search you`ll find a few places that sell/offer them (V1 Mirrors).

edit - found this auction on Ebay that`s over eBay Motors: VALENTINE 1 RADAR LOCATOR " IN REAR VIEW MIRROR" (item 260064115943 end time Dec-18-06 06:17:21 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VALENTINE-1-RADAR-LOCATOR-IN-REAR-VIEW-MIRROR_W0QQitemZ260064115943QQihZ016QQcategoryZ386 54QQcmdZViewItem)

Nice job on the Porsche except I hate the woodgrain option Porsche offered in their cars (carbon trim looks awsome), hand of god, see if you can get a ride in a TT Viper:soscared: , everything feels slow to me after riding in a 1K rwhp pump gas daily driver lol.

I`ve seen those rearview mirror V1 installs before - a company named BeastPower sells them. I know for a fact they made drop-in mirrors for the M5, but the 911 install was likely a custom job. I`ve seen their work on a 355 before, real slick install.

Alot of companies make these. Apexcone.com (http://www.apexcone.com) makes them from E36 BMWs, as you have found BeastPower makes them for M5s, and I believe Evoms makes them for 911s; cool, but not very custom.

Looks great.

I had that mirror made for a car I had many moons ago, an LS430. Audio Intellect made it for me.

Thanks a lot all. If I ever have $5-600 laying around I might have to look into those V1`s. Whats wrong with the wood? I kind of thought it looked nice. :nixweiss

Wood belongs in a luxury car, aluminum trim or carbon fiber trim should stay in a sports car (you won`t see wood trim in a Viper, Vette, Lambo, Ford GT etc). I get in a sports car I don`t want to think I`m inside a Lexus lol. Then again we`ve owned Porsches and I don`t consider the turbo a sports car, more of a fast GT type car, actually quite borring to me to drive, too smooth and refined. One of our neighbors has had his 997TT for about 2 months now and he`s already selling it, just borring to him, yet he still owns a 96` 993TT that you can bet he`s not getting rid of. Now the GT3 on the other hand mmmmm, lip smacking good:D . I just hate how their putting a sunroof on the 997 GT3, hell, put an automatic trans in it while your at it lol.
