Pump just exploded onto my GFs car at the gas station. Stupid.

Anyways, she did her best to wipe it off with MFs and she`s on her way home now.

Car had a nearly new coat of 1z GW on it.

Question: Will the gas harm the paint at all? Also, will QD take off the gas or any residue properly so we can re-seal it?

yeah funny as it may sound i do believe gas is cc safe. it drips on every one of our cars while fueling, i have NEVER seen any damage below the tank on any car i have ever worked on. it`s also a good tool to use on severely tarred surface.

okie dokie. that`s what I thought and told her, but she`s a chemist so she`s freaking out about the LSP coming off now so we`re going to have to reseal tonight.. I told her though that I don`t think cured clear is soluble in gasoline

I have noticed a lot of contamination around the gas cap area on cars that I assume is caused by gasoline - nothing a few passes with clay won`t take care of.
