What exactly would the differences be between clear anodized and polished aluminum? I am looking at sprucing up my engine bay with some nice Pi-Thon hose locks (www.pi-thon.com). I am assuming the polished is nice and shiny, while the clear anodized would have more of a matte finish to it. Any thoughts as to which one would stay cleaner longer (and last longer)? I`m looking to order soon and get my project off the ground before the All Chrysler Nationals in July.

Thanks,
Neil

Clear coated would be my choice, you will be polishing those aluminum ones all the time.

That`s what I was wondering. This is for my summer/show car. It only gets driven about 1000 miles a year or less now, so how dirty do you think the hose connectors would get? I wouldn`t mind doing a simple wipe down before a show or a cruise.

Then the polished is the way I would go I love the shine of polished aluminum, done right it looks like glass.
