Since its cold out, im going to take my car to coinless op tomorrow just to clean the wheels and tires. There covered with brake dust and what not. Going to use E1 A2Z for the tires, and WB for the rim.

I heard to dilute 1quart WB with 1gallon of water. I dont know if I have a measuring tool to do this. Anyone have any ideas?

I`ve found 4:1 to be strong enough for most dirty wheels (WB is some potent stuff). I`d start there and strenghten the mix as needed.

For a 32oz bottle, that`s about 6.5 ounces of WB to about 25.5 ounces of water.

1:4 is the norm for even the worst of wheels. I once intentionally used a 1:1 dilltuion but it didn`t really make the BD melt away any better than 1:4... I still needed to agitate the wheels.

Same here. Actually tried it out full strength. Did no damage but was no better than 1:4 aka 4:1.

What kind of spray bottle should I dilute it into? One I can pick up locally?

Home Depot has them in the cleaning section. Even has the dilution ratios on the sides. I believe that they are even made by Zep.

I had a friend come over to pick up some WB. As I was dilluting it for him into a bottle (i wanted it at 4:1), the argument of ratios came up. I insisted it was one part WB and 4 parts water. He insisted it 4:1 meant 1 part WB and 3 parts water...

I was right, right?

^^ isn`t that the same thing? :nixweiss

Wheel brightener is strong stuff, so the bigger portion of the ratio should definitely be water.

1:4 is 1 part WB, 4 parts water. So yes, you were right. :)

I do a 1:3 ratio, but I could probably do 1:4, just what I am used to.
