I got a call last night wanting me to do this vehicle. I had done a church bus for next to nothing (oh the vacuuming!), and the owner was impressed enough to let me do this red, F-250. It had been washed everyweek until the customer had to return to college. It was in fairly decent shape. Where I`m from, when you here F-250 you immediately think of mud and lot`s of it! This was just an exterior detail. No engine and just a vacuum on the inside so no pics other than the outside.

Here`s the process it recieved....

Start Time:

2:00PM

Finish Time:

5:00PM

Payment:

200.00

Washed and Clayed with Meguiar`s NXT Car Wash

(Used EDGE Wash ShMitt and Meguiar`s Clay)

DP`s Mild Swirl Remover

(EDGE2K Green Medium Cutting Pad at a #5 PC setting)

Since I had plenty of shade and cool temps, I decided to use something that had not been out of my box since the summer. No fancy smells or bottles here. Just good old plain results. No fillers or tons of oils. Cut good and removed any swirls while amping up the finish. Finished off nicely with no dusting. A good chemical to use when inside.

Pinnnacle`s Liquid Souveran

(EDGE2K Blue Finishing Pad at #3 PC setting)

(Removed with EDGE2K White Finishing Pad at a #5 PC setting)

With prior, awesome results on red, this was a no brainer to top off with. Once again, a little goes a long way with no effort at all. Nice smell and will not stain trim. A thin, transparent layer is all that is needed. I let it dry and haze while vacuuming. I love removing this wax with my PC and foam pad. Really heats up the wax and gives the paint a candy-shell finish. I came back and light buffed with a micro-fiber, ultra-plush towel.

Other Prducts used:

Simple Green Degreaser 10:1

(Tires, wheels, wells, grill, and lower panels)

I`ve been wanting to try this stuff out for a long time. My wife picked up some for me from Lowes last night. Works so good! Even at 10:1. This makes it very cost efficient. I was amazed at how well it cut through brake dust and bugs. No streaking and the smell was suprisingly nice.

Armor All Tire Foam

(Pre-cleaner for tires and wells)

Armor Tire Gel

(Applied to tires after wiping AA Foam off)

Stoner`s Invisible Glass

That is a fantastic looking truck with a fantastic detail.

How did you apply AA gel on those knobby tires? My tires are a little knobby, and you will not get any gel on those tires.

Excellent as always, especially your attention to the wheel and wheel wells. Stuff like that seperates you from your competition more than you might think. :)

Small paint brush with the bristles trimed down so that they are stiffer. I put the gell into an old spay can cap. Works well.

Very nice result ... and I have to add I`m most impressed with the 3 hour time on a vehicle that size. How do you work so fast????:bow
