Can anyone help me.
My Mazda 323 (1982) silver grey car was in need of some paint rejuvenation, the bonnet paintwork feels rough and has no shine, and almost feels (by hand) close to the metal, as it has been parked outside now for 3-4years. It hasn`t been properly maintained with only the occaisional wash.
An Autoglym rep after seeing the car suggested their Paint Renovator product, I applied it using their proprietary polishing cotton terry cloth on an overcast day. But the renovator seems to have made the paint worse: its now gone dark and very uneven, as though it was cutting through to the metal (I stopped after applying 2 feet worth). I am brand new to car detailing, can anyone advise me what to do next?
