what is out there that i can use for hand polishing? also, could you tell me where yall purchase your electric polisher? could you please name some o fthe brand thats out there and where i can purchase it? i`m new to all this detailing. i will purchase the tools and product once i understand it all. thank you all.

For hand polishing I use Lake Country foam pads As for the polisher, the Porter Cable is the way to go. You will need a backing plate to accomodate the pads for it. I recommend getting 2 pads of each color. White=polishing pad,Orange=light cutting pad,Gray=finishing pad.

are they color-coded for a purpose or just for whatever?

Yes the colors are different for a reason.
Yellow=cutting pad
Orange=light cutting
White=polishing
Gray=finishing

what`s the light blue one for? LC`s pad set has one in it.

The blue is a final finishing pad.
