How to try new products

Well im sure a lot of you dont have this problem but some may. Im broke and i just got my pc and i want to get some good stuff to use with it maybe poorboys but how do you all go about trying something out. is there a way to get some samples or something, i dont want the spend big bucks on something that i dont like.

i was gunna try some poorboys stuff i think im not really sure i hear silver is a hard color to work on

A good way to try things is hit up the "Trading Post" forums - a lot of people (including myself :) ) go crazy buying products and then we end up with so much stuff. You can buy a small sample or sometimes full products at lower than retail cost.
