Hey guys/girls, I have some pretty obvious spider-webbing on a Lazer Red G35. I`m told that the clear on Infiniti`s is notoriously soft. I scuffed the clear once with a plastic shopping bag. Nice thing is that it`s easy to get out these minor marks. My question is if I should even try using Meg`s #7, or should I go with #9. I`ll be using a PC with a yellow pad. Unless you tell me otherwise. I do have DACP #83 coming, but it wasn`t intended for my car, I could use it, but I was thinking too abrasive. What I am planning is #9, then #7, then FK pink wax. Any objections or suggestions are welcomed. Thanks!

#9 is primarily fillers and will do hardly, if any correction, even on soft paints. #7 is completely non-abrasive and is generally a PITA to use. I`d say go with #83(if needed), #80 or #82, then FK Pink. Having a soft clear doesn`t mean that ultra mild products will correct significant defects.

Alright, that`s good info. So should I use #83 then a #9 then the wax?

#83, then #9 then wax. However, wax durability might be reduced due to the heavy oil content of the Meg`s polishes.

Then it would be advantagous for me to do more coats than usual, right?

maybe if you use the proper wax and allow the proper cure time between coats. (depends on temperature and wax)
