Well, some of you may have seen my thread about a week ago. I bought the car after selling a identical caddy for a profit of a couple grand.

This one was in a little better shape, but still needed a lot of work. Interior turned out pretty mint. Exterior onthe other hand, was well, not the greatest thats for sure. Scratches all over the place.

Process:

Wetsand with 2000 grit

XP Compound via black cutting pad at 2000 RPM

Power Cut Plus via yellow cutting pad at 1500 RPM

Speed Glaze via polishing pad at 2500 RPM

Power Speed Glaze via PC and polishing pad at 6

Mother Pure Carnuba

Interior:

Vacuum

Extract

Dye Carpets

Degreased the plastics (this guy smoked and was a pig)

Dressed with some silicon based dressing we use at work

So, here is when I tried just cut polishing it. Didn`t result in a surface up to my standards.

Ouch! Snow already? :wow:

The car looks really good, Steve. I really love the clarity of the finish. :)

Heck, it would make a great summer car too! Those Northstar Caddies definitely have some balls!

It pulls pretty damn hard up top. I wish it had a little more bottom end though. I`m used to the 300 lb/ft of torque at like 2 grand in the buick, when I drive this, its so smooth off the lin.e :o

Beautiful work on the finish.

I was drawn immediately to the licence plate, it`s similar to the birthmark I have on my back - 666. Your car and my birthmark are a dark metallic green and I too use Speed Glaze at 2500 rpm to keep my birthmark looking sharp.

You will send me your rotary.

Man that thing is clean. Just keeping the engine maintained is the hard part. But great looking car.
