The use of the Rotary and the 4`` pads made such an improvement on removing defects from the BMW paint. FAST05STANG and I did a 4 door 3 series last month for this customer, and we could not touch the defects with the PC using 6`` pads. This account we have is mainly arranged for used car prep for customer delivery. . . .complete defect removal is not a priority here . . as the type of detail and the ammount charged negate spending 6 hours polishing paint . . . but the investment and use of the rotary and spot buff 4`` pads for the PC sped up our detail time significantly, and produced much beter results on this particular paint than the PC with 6`` pads alone on its own

The finish looks good. The swirls did`nt look bad enough to use compound. Have you ever used the LC orange pads with the Optimum Polish. You would be suprised what you can remove. I do a lot of BMW`s with the orange pad and polish.

:xyxthumbs Looks like it came out pretty nice, that`s a much better used car prep than most buyers would get. I`d also like to see some shots of the whole car next time.

I agree 110% with the use of 4" pads on a PC.... they make a world of difference.

honestly man . . . the OC/orange pad did not improve the swirils with a rotary @1700RPM, slow passes. . .

I used yellow lc pad and OHC @ 1700 RPM, mainly because of how hard the clear is . . . .

The Optimum line is fantastic and the OP actually took out the buffer trails and holograms that existed prior to us detailing the vehicle . . I left some buffer trails with the rotary from the OHC/Yellow combo which also were handled with the white pad and OP . . . .

thanks for the advice guys . . . i was really pressed for time to try different combos . . .

one thing i didnt mention, i did use some OP mixed with the OHC since we were working in the sun . .

Looks great! I hear you on taking pictures, I suck at taking great pics and the people here make it look so easy where as I can never get the right angle or settings on my camera. None the less the car looks great, good job!

In the third to last pic my first thought was "why did he take a picture of the sky? Isn`t this supposed to be about the car?" :chuckle:

Great turn out the car looks ........shiny!!!!!!!

I tryed OHC for the first time over the weekend to remove a serious scratch my mother made on her car she look at it the next mournig and forgot what side it was on. :woot2:

it came out good enough for her but looking out comes like just makes want to practice more :waxing:

I love the OHC i should of picked up some polish but at the time didnt think i needed it.

Wait until you try the new OHC-you can tell you have the new version because it is blue-ish. Even more cut and finishes down better.

Really nice job on that 325. :)

Isn`t it odd though, that rotary swirls come out more easily than halo swirls?

i looked at the hood and when i saw the hologram i almost S^%$ myself. Never seen one that bad. Someone obviously polished the car before my customer bought it from acution. The buffer trail came out much eaiser than the hologram. Took two "passes" w/ yellow & OHC @ 1700 rpm......Thanks for the advice scott, i am gonna hit up danease for some new OC and OHC. . . . could you give me some suggestions for use of my old formula optimum line . . . ?

will have better, full car shots next detail . . . still trying to improve those camra skills . . .

thanks again everyone for the comments. . . means a lot . . . .

Did you notice its black . . . along with his mom`s car and his F-150. Needless to say, I hate helping him maintain those cars. We are just cursed with black. I will be jumping up and down when we get somthing silver, or light grey . . .
