paint measure gauges...

i just spoke with elcometer... and the gauge they have is $725... that`s a little (read. a lot) pricey for my, so i was wondering what`s the best and cheapest gauge around

i`m looking to get one just to be safer with the paint, especially on SS cars

please let me know if you have experience with some and where to buy
