Was searching the web at dark-o-thirty and ran across this site for this stuff called 5 STAR SHINE:

5 STAR SHINE (http://www.5starshine.com/)

Of course, when something sounds too good, you know it`s not. But I read this one interesting review from someone who used it:

SOMEONE`S REVIEW OF 5 STAR (http://www.honda-acura.net/forums/showthread.php?t=149760)

ANOTHER PERSONAL REVIEW (http://www.f150online.com/forums/archive/topic/173068-1.html)

Has anyone tried this stuff???? Results? Opinions? Just curious - still a :newbie and learning:D

I don`t think anyone, besides those pushing (read: spamming) it, had positive results. Just move on...:)

Deb,

That is the very product that brought me to the City a year ago . . .

I listened to my fellow citizens` opinions and it has been a very rewarding experience that I would have missed if I had opted for 5 Star :)

As the saying goes, "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is!!" ;)

Same goes for xziylon (sp) or any dealer installed 5 year "money maker" :eek

Heard alot of negative stuff about them, just go with a good sealant/wax.

I remember looking into it a while back. I would never let my car go that long without taking care of it, if the product indeed lasted that long. Plus you get VERY little product for the price you pay. You can do 50+ layers with other products talked about here for the same price and find a sealant/topper combo that gives the look you like. It probably isnt a bad product but not really for enthuiasts like us. Just my thoughts.

Funny how some things work for some and others it`s a waste of time and money. I want to make sure I go with something that will work for ME and the type of car I have AND the type of conditions I live in - this is why I ask all of you who`ve gone through the tribabls and tribulations AND expense of knowing what`s good and what`s not - the problems lie with there being so much to choose from and the degree of what you can handle. By the time I make a decision, my car will be old!:bigscream Too many choices!

NO ONE IN SOFLA WANTS TO COME AND ZAINO MY CAR????????:whine: I could pay you in STARBUCKS COFFEE!!!!:yeah

JOY, Smoothie King is closer - not a problem ;) I`ve got a personal attachment to STARBUCKS:D Gotta learn these acronyms, SG?

KLNYC, if you read this - how hot does it get in NYC in the summer - and to be there without a/c, as I know many don`t have?

THANKS!
