This is our toy. Obviously it`s not driven in snow, or rain. It gets driven maybe a couple thousand miles a summer so it sees some road, but I want to make it look really good. It`s not a #1 show car and I don`t have the big bucks so I`m not going to be buying Zymol. But I would buy a couple new things within reason. I`ll be polishing it first, but then I`m looking for suggestions to really make it look great. I`ve never had paint transfer from waxing, so I`m pretty certain it has a clear coat. Current sealants/waxes I have are EX-P, Collinite 845 and Nattys Blue. So tell me what you would use. :waxing:

I would start with a polish like Four Star`s Body Shop Line or Optimum. Then go to Danase Speed Glaze and follow that with Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection.

If it is SS, I would go with the Meg`s line of polishes, but since you said you don`t get any paint transfer it might not be. If you want the absolute *best* finish possible, do the correction with Optimum and finish out with Menzerna. Then I would use something like Natty`s Blue.

I will be polishing it with OHC if needed, and then OP. So I`m looking for suggestions on glazes, sealant, waxes or whatever steps that will make it look the best. My original plan was a coat of EX-P for sealant, and then a couple coats of Nattys Blue.

That sounds like a plan to me. If you already have that stuff, then I say use whatcha got! Nice car too. What`s she got under the hood?

Thanks

Olds 455. It`s a stock later model engine so it has low compression and not as much power, but it can still get up and go and it sounds nice.

......My original plan was a coat of EX-P for sealant, and then a couple coats of Nattys Blue.Very nice looking Olds! Once you have it polished out, and if it is a clear coat paint, then the EX-P and NB will look pretty good on that red.

If you want to try something different that won`t break the bank then try some ClearKote products. Vanilla Moose and RMG topped with CMW gives red a very nice look (deep and wet). I have used both the Poorboy`s and ClearKote combo on my red street rod and it came out looking very good.... maybe just a tad deeper and wetter with ClearKote.

Other options for a good sealer would be Z5-Pro, but I haven`t used that personally on my red car yet so I can`t say how it would look.... but it would offer some good protection that could be topped with Natty`s Blue if desired.

Really, once you get that paint polished up any LSP you use will just be "icing on the cake". And if you decide to spend a little more on a wax it is hard to beat Souveran (http://www.autogeek.net/pinsouvwax.html) as a topper on red, especially if you can find it on sale sometime.

Z5PRO looks great on Red.

Z5PRO up close. Z16 on tires and Mother`s Billet for polished aluminum wheels protected with Z2PRO.

I tried Natty and Souveran both on the car below but I decided that Red Moose Glaze and Trade Secrets had the look that I wanted. RMG/Souveran still rules on my black cars!

I currently have EX and Natty on a silver blue 58 Vette and really like the look.
