I have seen a lot of talk about this wax - seen a lot of pictures of it in peoples car detailing product threads . . . .

Whats the story with this discontinued line...

Only have been able to find it for sale outside of the country, and when I did an ebay search I found a can for 15 bucks that had 1 minute left on the auction, I was pissed, I couldent set up an ebay account in time . . . .

Where can I get some of this to try . . .It seems to be a golden gem . . . :secret

Meguiars had to discontinue sale of #16 in the US due to new VOC regulations.. there are still a bunch of pre-ban cans of it floating around though.

. . . poor consumer demand as well.

If you’re interested, I’m willing to sell you a spare tin. Shoot me an IM :)

I`m having a heck of a time finding them in a store..brick and mortar or online.

#16 goes on slick as you please, but I did not think it lasted very long. After 3-4 washes, mine was gone.

Weird, did you put it on top of anything that might have caused bonding issues? #16 is one of the most durable waxes i`ve ever used.

Agreed, I get great durability out of #16... one of my favorite products.

As far as beading goes, I completely agree.

remember to apply it thin if you find some.

From what I have read It seems to have similar properties to Collinite 845, maybe give that a shot if you cant find #16

Three tins this month sold on eBay. All for over $50

I`ve never used it before and at that price never will lol. Maybe can find a can locally.

Indefinitely if you keep the lid on tight. I just finished up a can I first opened in the early-mid `90s and the last bit was as good as the first. I`ve stockpiled this stuff and it`ll still be fine *long* after I`m dead and gone.

People have used #16 that was *old*, as in decades old, with no problems at all.

I think Ranney at Pakshak has a few tins left. I usually use Collinite 845, but if I must use a paste wax, I`ll reach for this every time (okay, I have a couple tins left, but they`re mine, MINE I tell you!). Durability, good looks, economy, and easy application are hallmarks of this wax.
