Hey guys.

I am a HUGE fan of 3M Perfect It 3000 buffing line. I use it at work all the time, but we have air compressors there and steady selection of DAs sittin` around.

Unfortunatley I don`t have an air-compressor at home to run a DA, and certainly can`t afford one. I was wondering how well you guys think a cusioned PC would run a 3000 grit trizak pad.

According to 3M the trizak can be hand sanded...I have tried this and it`s VERY time consuming and stressful on the arms.

Thanks for the imput.

Although I havent used the 3m trizac 3000 grit sandpaper, I have used the pc to sand panels down in the past and the pc worked great for me. I had a polishing pad was no long useful, I attached it to the pc and then stuck the 320grit sandpaper on top of the pad so that there would be some flexibility and it worked great, cut my work time in half.

Let us know how it works for you

Ok....

I think I am just going to grab a scrap hood from work and see what happens. That way it goes through or something I just give back to the scrap guys... :chuckle:
