I`ve just received a call from someone wanting to hire me for a detail. I`ve done 3 or 4 cars since I got my PC and pads and have had pretty good results. All of the vehicles I`ve done so far though have been family members cars. This will be my first paid detail from someone I don`t know. I just did a full detail on my brother-in-laws truck yesterday using the following process as far as the polishing

SSR 2.5 / Orange Propel / PC on 6

Megs 80 / Green Propel / PC 5-6

M21 / Blue Propel / PC 4

I got a lot of his medium to light swirls out but there were some deeper scratches in it that I couldn`t remove......quite a bit of deeper scratches.

So, can anybody attest to if a late 90`s Chevy full size truck would have hard or soft clear. Also the vehicle for hire is a 99 Dodge Durango. Does anybody know how the clear is on those? He says it has light swirls, and some small scratches, but who knows what his definition of light and small is. Please give some advice.
