A beutiful Lexus that I had a chance to detail this week. It had been about a year since I had worked on it last and it that time it was taken through some automatic car washes (not the touchless type). On top of that, we just finished love bug season here in Florida.

1. washed with Megs Shampoo Plus

2. polished with Optimum HC using PC

3. polished with Menzerna FP using PC

4. sealed with Poorboys EXP

5. wheels polished using Turtle Wax chrome polish, then EXP

I love working on this car, the shape and small size makes it easy to clean. Sorry, no interior shots.

very nice. no topping on the ex-p or do you generally use it as a one step ?

Again very nice, its like contained fluid on wheels :)

Looks like it has a very nice glow. I like the choice in polishes, too. I use that combo on nearly every black car I do.

Nice work! Coming from a former SC430 owner, interior looks Ecru with Birds Eye Maple. Same interior I had in the red one I used to own. I find that Zaino Z-10 has the exact smell of Lexus new leather.

HOw`s that Optimum with a PC?

Once again, NICE JOB!! :2thumbs:

Thanks for the compliments, on most cars I use the EXP as a one step. Depending on what the customer wants I will sometimes put a carnuba over it. The Optimum HC worked pretty well with the PC, removed about 75% of the swirls.

Is there any benefit to adding more than 1 coat of exp ?

EX-P and Souveran is a killer combo! Did it to my SC430! Then, during one PB detail day, we did a side-by-side: Souveran vs Nattys. We had as many people try to guess and why. Only one guess correctly and new why. Nattys was a bit more clear and Souveran a bit more darker and muted, but wet.

If you touch this car again and the EX-P is holding up, try a coat of Natty or Souveran if you get the chance. Then, you`d have a rolling pool of black!

Black is a deatilers` test to how well one can do to correct and finish paint well enough.

One of these days I really need to find time to do my Porsche.

I have only ever applied 1 coat of PB EXP. I usually let it set up for 30 to 60 minutes. I`m not sure if there would be any benefit of adding a second coat or how long I would wait in between coats. Hopefully I will get this car again within the next 1 to 2 months and I can try Nattys on top of it. Thanks Deanski
