I just applied XMT3, and it left a lot of micromaring on my hood. :( I applied it w/ a PC and a LC orange pad. Anyone else have this problem? Please help.

I didnt have any problems with XMT 3 on a black Camry. I used the orange pad all day on it and it finished down nicely. Did you follow up the XMT 3 with 2 or 1? Here`s a review that I did:

Thanks. I still don`t know what caused the micromarring. I did follow it with #1, and it didn`t do much. So I tried #3 again, followed by #1, and nothing changed. I`ll try it again. Thanks for your reply.

For one, the Ford paint is soft, it you`re using it on an 05 stang.

Also, I would expect some mm on black using XMT3. Drop to a white pad/3, then white pad/1. Also, work it a bit longer at speed 6 and see if life gets better.

Good luck.

Dont expect it. Went over my camry with XMT3 via yellow pad, and the only thing it ddi was remove defects. Zero maring of any sort.

Did you use XMT1 on a light cutting pad? if so, that might be the reason why.
