Someone accidentally dryed MFs on normal... is it the end of the world?

Someone in my household accidentally dried all my MFs on a normal dry cycle (read: heat), are they ok? :(

Obviously all dryers may dry at slightly different temps. Just give them a good visual inspection befoe use. They should be fine. Truthfully? I dry mine on high all the time......

They are most likely OK, but just look them over and make sure there aren`t any melted (hard) threads from the heat. I had someone do that to some of mine once and the only problem I had was with a very bad case of "static cling".

Check to make sure thay have not melted,worse thing you probably have is static electricity :chuckle: I`m i correct ?

I`m with the guys...just make sure the edges are still okay, and hope whoever did it didn`t toss in a fabric softener sheet too.

I dry mine all the time. The transitional (e.g. glass transition) melt temperatures of the polymers used in MF towels is 2-3 times higher than any clothes dryer produces.

Of course inspect them, but I`m sure they`ll be fine.

They pressure cook the dyes at like 4-600 degrees I think a little drying will be fine.

Typically gas dryers will blow hotter air than electric dryers, but the new electric dryers are catching up. If the threads arent melted (which is unlikely most of the time), then you will be plenty fine. Good test is under your bumper, nobody ever looks there. :)

Like I said, I dry mine on High all the time.........I just take them out while a little damp...Its probably better to dry them on medium though, but i find its a waste of electricity.

My microfibers have been through the dryer at all its temperature settings and have not suffered any ill effect. I`m pretty sure they should be fine. I`d be more worried about the softener sheet though. :eek:

Yep, and it can be a pain to get out from what I`ve heard. I stick my MF`s in the dryer for like 30 minutes on low if I`m in a jam and can`t wait for them to air-dry...but I still end up going back like 3 times to make sure I didn`t leave a dryer sheet in there from the previous load.
