I washed the car on Saturday, normal routine, Z7 wash, Z6 wipedown, trim shine in the wells, and Mothers FX tire dressing on the tires. I have not done anything more than washing in about a month. Today I went golfing at a sweet course about 50 miles away. The scenery was so nice I decided to snap a few pics. The car got a little dusty and buggy on the trek, but here are the pics.........

Looking really nice. I love ZHP E46`s.. Sort of like the final perfected product...

Nice color too.

Thanks man! Searched long and hard for this car. Color is Silver-Gray. The Titanium Silver ones perfectly match the color of the wheels....you can see mine is a bit darker.

Definately the better colour.

Only thing I never liked about the e46 3 series is the plastic side moldings. So awkward to polish around, apply wax and dress. It would look soo much better if it was a body colour painted molding. I`m sure you can paint them, I know its a mod on my X5.

Only `99 and `00 E46`s had the rubber moldings. Love the darker gray. Would look sweet with clear corners and side marker lights. I am assuming you used Z2 originally?

Yeah, the E46 coupes had body colored painted moldings and a lot of guys have had their black moldings painted to match the car on the sedans. I have to admit it is a PIA waxing, but I do like the contrast.

I plan to do clear corners and side markers in the near future, as well as 35-50% metallic tint.

THe last product I used on the car was Z5 pro.

Nice - love the ZHP! I`d like some interior shots. Is it tough to keep the alcantara looking good?

I actually have gray leather interior and not the alcantera seats. I do have an alcantera shifter boot, parking brake boot, and steering wheel (which I love) that all zhp`s have. It also has an Anthricite headliner.

I will try and take some interior shots.

I am not impressed DK.

Your BMW`s always look great and you had the Zaino advantage also. ;)

When was your last Z2/Z5 or Z8 application? Paint looks like you just applied a layer.

Beautiful car!!!! :woot:

Last layer was about a month ago with Z5 pro. I think I had one application of Z8 since then ( I do that every 3 washes), and other than that, just Z7 wash and a Z6 wipedown. I didn`t even plan on a photoshoot but the course scenery was sooo nice.

I also usually use Z16 on the tires, but I am trying to use up some products I have where there is only a little left. I do like the Mothers FX tire shine.

Excellent work! Is the Mothers ZFX your replacement for the discontinued Turtle Wax Tire Gel?
