I`m looking to take the badges of a 2004 honda civic....do you guys know if they are glue-ons or if they are actually punched into the metal. any suggestions...thanks in advance.

They are glued on, use some dental floss or fishing wire working it back and forth from top to bottom. Use some WD-40, Goo Gone, or even gas to remove the residue. You can also use a hair dryer to aid in removing the badges.

Most likely they are all glued on. I just removed some of the badges from my Volvo today and they were glued. I would just take a good look at them and try to run some dental floss behind them. If they are bolted on, the dental floss will not go all the way through.
