what do you all use to clean the haze of the covers.i was wondering about using a light polish versus going out and buying a plastic headlight kit treatment.

Make that a +2 on the Plastic X. I have used on several customer cars and had excellent results. Be aware it is a multiple step process in that don`t try to clear it all up on the first shot. It usually takes me about 3 applications to achieve the best optical clarity

I use whatever Im using on the rest of the car, with the PC. I always "run over" the headlights when detailing......

I mean if polishes are good nough to smooth out paint, why wouldnt they work on plastic? Of course if m compounding (Which I rarely run into) I wouldnt imagie that would be safe without further damaging the plastic....

I do as Patrick said or use plasti-x as the others said. You can wetsand them as a last resort if polish doesn`t work. Just go easy on them and you still need to polish them.

My taillights were horrendously swirled from the dealer, SSR2.5 on an orange pad cleaned them right up (only wish that combo had been aggressive enough for the paint :( ).
