This is my first post so HI everybody, and thanx for any responses. I am not in the biz. Nor do I consider myself a pro. But I do like to keep my own ride looking nice. (Red F-150 SuperCrew) What is everyones opinion on Mothers products?
Last week I did what I consider a complete exterior detail. All these steps where done by hand.

1 Dawn Soap
2 Clay Bar
3 Mothers Cleaner Wax
4 Mothers Reflections Polish
5 Mothers Carnuba Paste Wax

Am I doing things in the right order? Are these products meant to be used together? I share these products with a few friends at work. And we usually do our rides together. I will probally switch to the Pure Platinum line, depending on the feed back.

Thanx

I would leave out step three, because step 4 is going to remove the wax left and use follow with a paste wax.

I would do the following:
1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Reflections Polish
4. Paste wax

I have some ideas if I had a Red truck:

P21S wax - arguably the best
"Wheel wax" for your rims.
303 Aerospace Protectant. Waterbased for vinyl, rubber and so on.
Get a carwash with wax in it to keep up in between wax jobs.
Use "Clay Magic" clay

All this can be purchased from Dwayne at www.premiumautocare.com

Sorry, I totally ignored your question...
Mothers is ok, but I would use better products as I listed above. Even though you aren`t Pro, you can purchase these items.

Oh, yah - Wenol Auto metal polish. And ask Dwayne, he can give you some more ideas to have fun with.
