When I used Poor Boys APC on the window trim it turned the cloth black and this scares me. It looks like its taking the dye or something off of the trim. I drive a Camaro SS 00. Is it safe to keep using it on trim?

Sounds like it is too harsh to be using. Are you using it full strength? If so you might want to try cutting it significantly, maybe 3 to 1 or 4 to 1.

dont use APC at full strength. Normally dillute it because it is very concentrated so you can make different concentrations for cleaning.

You may be using it too strong, however, if you have not cleaned your rubber in that area before, it probably has a rather large amount of dirt buildup.

I would certainly dilute the product to at least 4:1 for future use though.

I use it 15:1 for about everything. I find that about the perfect mixture.

Its the first time I cleaned the trim there. Wait is trim dyed? Isnt it just black plastic. So it cant come off right?

It was probably degrading the trim. You need to dilute it; I use poorboys apc in dilutions from 5:1 all the way to 20:1 water/apc.

I agree, dirt loves to build up on that black rubber. Just for fun, try windex or something on your black trim, and you`ll probably see almost as much black on the cloth.

And just for the future you should dilute. Safer and cheaper.

I have this other stuff Vroom APC, I dont need to diluite that right?
