Trying to decide which shampoo to buy. I have used 118 in the past and liked it, but want to make sure it`s not too harsh or overkill. I usually wash my car once a week sometimes once every two weeks. It is a daily driver, though garaged during day and at night, so it never gets really, really dirty. For wax I use Natty Blue. Thanks!

I would alternate the 2 myself. That`s what I`m gonna do.

Never tried the 1016, but 118 is very nice. I think you will be ok using it every week.

I have both 118 and 1016. Before detailing a car I use 118. After the the car is detailed and It needs washing I use 1016. It washes great and leaves an intense shine and protection. It removes dirt safely and when you rinse it off it beads like hell. When I drive in the rain it beads like rain-x on the windshield and paint. My Favorite product so far! On the expensive side, but a little goes a long way and well worth the money in my book. I also have a used car lot and I wash my cars with 1016 and for weeks the cars stay cleaner longer and the water beads like hell..Try it you will be hooked!

1016 is in its own league compared to 118 and the finish your left with.

118 i use as I prep cars for details including the Decontamination process.

1016 gets the nod on everything else.

FK118 is an effective wash – great cleaning ability, decent suds, and a bit of gloss. FK claims the most important component of 118 is acid/fallout neutralization.

I’m not enthusiastic with wash/wax combinations, but FK1016 is really nice. Cleaning ability isn’t as good as 118, but the beading, slickness, and gloss is awesome! Protection is said to be good for about 4 weeks.

I`m going to order it and try it out. Thanks.
