Hey everyone, this is my first click and brag here. This BMW had been cross country from California to here in Minnesota in the winter and never was waxed after that. The brake dust was unbelievable. This was my process:

Wash- NXT wash

Clay-Zaino

Polish-Meguiar`s #83 via PC

Wax-Meg`s NXT

Unfortunately that`s as good as the wheels would get, they were really pitted. Overall I think it came out pretty well, it had been neglected it`s whole life.

83 and NXT are an awesome, overlooked combo here on autopia. Just because it`s over the counter doesn`t it`s not good!

I`m just north of St. Paul. Nice to see another minnesotan on here :bigups

And is it just me, or do BMW`s tend to give off more brake dust than other cars?

BMW`s have, IMO, the worst brake dust of ANY vehicle out there. Let them go for 2-3 weeks, and you will have one hell of a time scrubbing them out if they aren`t sealed. Looks pretty good from what the few pics show.

Yes the stock pads are very dusty on BMWs, but thats why they stop so well. I was thinking about some low dust pads for the wifes car, but I think its better for her to have the stopping power.

Very noticable improvement! :)

I hear ya on those wheels, every 5 I have done of that vintage has had the same problem with pitting.
