Hello guys,

Well I am getting ready by ordering Collinite 476s and Z-8`s and Z-6`s 2 bottles each

for zaino as will be using them between washes.

I am sort of confused on what to start with each of our cars

BMW M6

Brand New 2006 X5

The M6 is black and has near perfect paint with little Swirls here and there

So I was thinking of claying with Sonus Ultra Poly Clay since the paint doesn’t

need harsher clay,

Then I want to use a Filler to fill those swirl marks, I have huge supplies of products

but the once filler I know I have is

Z-5 PRO Show Car Polish for Swirl Marks and Fine Scratches

Toping that with Pink Moose "RMG & VM Mix"

And then Collinite 476s, waiting a week to apply second coat or maybe same day.

Should I use Z-8 After Z-5 Pro to hold the filler in so Pink Moose won`t remove Z-5?

Also Not sure if Collinite 476S will bound with RMG as it has allot of oils in it?

Thanks for your help and Advice!

VM/RMG is very oily and will strip the Z. Do you have a PC? If I were you, I would do Z5 Pro times however many to fill the swirls, and top it with the 476s. Or you could just do Z5 Pro for the winter, which should be enough to get you through.

Alot of people have never had any bonding issues with RMG in general - you`ll get opinions on this, but i cant personally speak for Z products but the Collinite should bond nicely.

:werd: Z5 Pro should have no trouble through the winter.

You can top with Collinite if you`d like, but I`d leave the glaze out.

It is werd,

Z-5 is a polish not wax nor it is a sealant, it is a filler that needs to be toped.

unless I will use the accelator ZFX it is called I think? anyways I don`t like this

process unless I top Z-5 / ZFX Mix with a sealant.

Although Z-5 has filling properties it is very durable even on its own.....

The best Combo IMO would be Z5p w/ ZFX and a few coats of Z2p

This is not correct. Z5 Pro is a sealant with slight filling properties (despite being named a "polish"). It offers very good durability on it`s own.

Z5 Pro is a sealant, just like Z2 or SG or Acrylic Jett etc. Zaino just uses the polish term to confuse people. Polishes abrate paint away either chemically or with abrasives. Z5 Pro looks great on black.

:secret it can be used on its own.

Ops Thanks for the correction guys

So what up with the Zaino people are they on crack?!

I mean they don`t have any sealant except Z8 Spray

Why wouldn`t they call Z-5 a sealant?

Anyways what do you guys think if I use Z5 Mix in the ZFX bottle and liquid

and toping those off with a Collinite 476s?

Will I get better durability and will the last for winter after using this process

and using Z8 spray every week after a wash?

Zaino seems so confusing to me, I`ll chime in and say this, while my GF was at a baby shower I QD`d her nasty hood and took a piece of tape down the middle and used color x to clean it up, then one side with collinite the other just left at color x...its been like a month and of course this thing never gets washed she works on a beach with salt air, parks under trees and I laugh everytime I come over after it rains because the collinite is still beading and the rest of the car looks like a sheen of dirt on it, like the car is painted with matte spray paint but half the hood is blazing green lol so if I had to deal with winters I`d go collinite poor cars and snow.

As mentioned before, Z5 Pro and Z2 Pro are sealants. Z8 is a spray sealant (think "booster").

It`s likely that Z5 Pro alone would last the winter, but if you feel like topping it with Collinite, go ahead.
