Okay folks, you have convinced me that I should get a Porter Cable Dual Action Polisher for my black `05 911. Now the question is which one should I get and where should I get it from?

I have these products to use that might utilize the PC:

Werkstatt Prime

PB SSR 1.0

PB SSR 2.0

PB SSR 2.5

PB EX w/Carnuba

PB Natty`s Blue

The black paint looks to be in good shape but I am sure I will need to use Prime and SSR1.0 at the very least.

Since I don`t really need polishes or wax, would this be the right setup?

If yes, what other pads would you get? Does it come with enough pads or should I buy more of the same pads?

Thanks,

Scott

Get the $189.99 kit with free shipping from www.pinnaclewax.com

You`ll get the pads you need, free shipping and the 7424.

Get the Poorboy`s stuff from Scott @ www.specialtymotoring.com He`s got the cheapest prices I`ve found.

You`ll need one orange, two white and one black pad at a minimum. Don`t bother with the SSR 2.0. Just get 2.5 and 1.

Unless your car sits outside and you need the durability, just buy the Natty`s Blue.

Good luck.

Pick up the 7336 from Lowe`s, they usually have them on sale for under $100. Then buy the backing plates and pads online. Look into the Edge 2000 pads on Autogeek. I need to buy some replacement pads soon and I`m strongly considering switching over to the Edge system.

Okay, I bought the $189.99 kit from www.pinnaclewax.com.

The kit includes:

Porter Cable 7424

5 Inch Backing Plate

1-6.5 Inch Orange Light Cutting Pad

1-5.5 Inch Orange Light Cutting Pad

2-6.5 Inch White Polishing Pads

2-6.5 Inch Gray Finishing Pad

2 Cobra Microfiber Towels

1 packet of Snappy Clean

Any other pads I should get to fit the hook & loop backing system?

i would buy a porter cable on ebay for like 105 bucks with shipping, then get a nice pad kit from autogeek, like the edge 2000 one.
