Hey guys, a buddy of mine came over with his 2004 Black cobra, it was in pretty bad shape to begin with, sorry for no pics of the befores, It was raining and I didnt want to get the camera wet, and I like to wash/clay cars in the rain, it makes it a lot easier and it was very cool outside so it was nice

The car had a lot of holograms and fairly moderate swirls, they werent too deep so I ended up using the following process

Wash with NXT soap

Clay with Pinnacle Poly clay

PC set on 5500 Orange Pad with Optimum Compound

PC set on 6000 White pad with Optimum polish (whole car some areas I went over 2 times)

Poorboys EX with caranuba by hand, whole car (two coats on hood/roof)

Interior

Vacuum

Scrubbed carpets with power out

Dressed door panels/dash with Meguiars Interior Trim shine

Leather conditioned with Poorboys Leather Stuff (works awesome)

Overall I was VERY satisfied with the car, there were barely any swirls left (micro marring) and there were absolutely no holograms on the car, out in the sun it looked awesome and the owner was very happy, here are some pictures

yea, the Cobra R wheels were nice, but I like CCW`s or stockers better...the car next to it is my 1966 Pontiac GTO clone, (for sale btw)

I may get flamed, but this is just further proof that black is by far the best color.......when it`s clean! Those 2 hours or so are priceless! LOL

Such a nice and fast car. I have driven them and the only thing I HATE is the clutch is the stiffest I have ever driven! Couldnt see driving that car on a daily basis!

Yea, the car is far from stock, ported eaton, full exhaust, running more boost (not sure how much) Coastal Dyno tuned (not sure if anyone is familiar with this shop but it has a reputation for producing some of the fastest cobras in FL, specialties include tuning whipple/ported eaton/turbo cobras)

Great Job!

I loved my 03 DSG Cobra with Stage III Port Job, Longtubes, Upper/Lower Pulley the whole nine yards.... I just could not stand daily driving it every day.

Here it is after a couple months of Zaino

nice, dsg owns :2thumbs: , but yea, I think he is putting down around 500 to the wheels, not sure of the exact #`s but its a quick car :chuckle: but the clutch is very tough, compared to my stock 03 mach 1 clutch, it was a workout for my leg just pulling the car in and out of the garage !

The money shot! Looks very deep and reflective. Great work.

00 Cobra R wheels have always been my favorite wheel, with the 03/04 SVT Cobra`s, and Saleens close behind. Hopefully will pick up a set of Saleens for the Stang sometime soon.

Looks great!! And nice car!!

Too bad the interior is so chintzy...with the performance and $$ of that car...

Even worse than a C5 Vette interior...actually much worse, IMO...
