Anybody have thoughts on using Z7 in the foamgun? Ratio of shampoo to water?

I have used it and while it make a nice foam I don`t think its very economical. I`ve recently switched to DP (from AG) whiche is considerably cheaper and really foams up nicely.

use a cheap soap for the foam gun and use Z7 in the bucket

I put about an ounce into the foam gun, add water, and even on the setting that provides the most suds, I have enough to do my mid-sized SUV. An even better idea would be to dilute the correct amount of Z7 to one gallon of water, and use that to fill up the foam gun.

I like Z7 in my foam gun. My ratio I believe is 1:1. However, its not very economical. I had some Z7 sitting around when I ran out of SS&S. When I get close to using up my Z7, I will be ordering a gallon of SS&S!

a foam guns primary purpose is to foam, let soak and soften most of the dirt on the surface. And then to rinse off. So I would be looking for an inexpensive but good sudsy cleaning shampoo. I would save the boutique kind of shampoos (Z-7, Sonax, P21S, Griot`s, Zymol, #00, 1Z) for the final wash. Again that`s me.
