So, today I was able to test out my new Duragloss products I picked up from Carquest. I got the Duragloss TPP (Total Performance Polish) (http://www.duragloss.com/product.asp?pid=336) and the Duragloss PBA (Polish Bonding Agent) (http://www.duragloss.com/product.asp?pid=275) to go with it.

Here was my process:

Exterior: Washed with Dawn

Clay - Clay Magic

Sealant - Duragloss PBA then applied the Total Performance Polish right after.

I did the whole vehicle unlike the instructions which say to do one area let haze then buff to a shine.

Tires cleaned with Westleys Bleach White

Tire Dressing Meguiars High Endurance

I`m very pleased with the shine that Duragloss has provided. To find it locally at such a good price is great.

Looks great, nice wet deep shine! Gotta love it for OTC products at that price!

Great, rich-looking color on the Murano. (Too bad about the orange peel Nissan left on the door, though). Very nice job! :xyxthumbs

Thanks all!

Awahl63, you can pick up the westleys bleach white most places. Wal-Mart sells it. Autozone, Pepboys I think also. It`s cheap also. I use it every other time I want to apply tire dressing. It really helps get the crud off the wheels. It also doubles as an engine degreaser/cleaner. However I dilute it 50/50 for that.

Grayhawk,

Yea, hard to avoide orange peel.

Very nice and wet looking, great work. Nissan family I see. Anyway, the Westley`s does a pretty good job of removing all the old layers of tire protectant? I find that I get build up from my Tire Wax, and I haven`t found a satisfactory way of getting it all off yet.

The paint on the Murano looks real nice....The 105 sure does produce a nice shine...

I did a buddies truck last week...I just did the polishing and first coat of 105..came out real nice..the next day he did Aquawax and followed it by another coat of 105 latter that evening...and again 2 days latter...I have to say..it was outstanding...for some reason it looked different ..like it was a mile deep and really rich looking...

I do not know if the AW acted like using Z-8 between coats with the Zaino system...but it was outstanding looking....same color as my truck Red...his look and my trucks look were different...like I said..his paint looked 2 feet thick...and so so wet looking....

I may try that when I do my winter protection of 105 on the truck...this november...

but again..your Murano came out real nice ..not a bad product for OTC....in fact a great product...

That is a very wet shine!

I need to find someone around here who carries the Duragloss line, used to use a lot of their stuff when I was first starting out-until the store I was buying it from became an Autozone and stopped carrying Duragloss products.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I`m excited each and every time I`ve got a new car to detail.

Tasty: Yep we`re a Nissan family. However my dad just got a white 2006 Jetta 2.0T. The Westleys does an exceptional job of removing the old layers of tire protectant yes and it`s cheap to boot.

mongo: I`ve got some AW also that I have tried only on the trunk of my Z and it sprayed out in a stream. Is this normal? If so how do you get an even coat on the car? Just spray a few sections and use the towel to spread it in then flip the towel to dry?

Tiger Mike: Lemme dig up some pics of the detail I did on my 350Z and put them up.

the AW bottle should have four settings, one spray, one stream, two "closed" in between
