Arguably, the Metro is smaller, lighter, more durable, and just all-around more desirable.

I`ve had 2 Rigids and would much rather have a Metro.

Have you seen this thread?

Apparently there`s a vac comparable to the Metro (3 HP vs the Metro`s 4) for about $40 at Big Lots.

I second the comment made about getting a Ridgid Vac. You can use it for both wet/dry duties, has great suction, easy to move around if needed. Everyone always talks about size, but you dont need to roll a Ridgid around on it`s wheels, purchase the wall vac like I did and you get over 20 feet in hose, no need to move it at all. Also to clean it out all I have to do is open it up, rinse out the area where all the crap goes. and then use my air compressor to get out any debris and clean the filter.

Your right, the word equivalent wasn`t the right one. I meant, an alternative. I would recommend the Ridgid because of its price to power ratio. Plus like someone mentioned, the wallmounted one is compact and has 20 feet of hose. They also have a new ultra portable one that looks like a toolbox

I carry the Vac N` Blo. Very good machine from a very good company. I have never had one single problem with Metro as far as ordering, dealing with, or warranty work.

Sorry a bit confuesed here, does Metro make the Van N blo, or this another machine? As for the Rigids do they even compare in quality and performance next to the Vac N blo? Im looking for somthing very strong power wise and somthing portable with some good accesories. This is meant for mobil detailing thats why just getting a 40 dollar vacume in the long run might not be worth it.

Thanks so much guys for all the advice :2thumbs:
