Need help with some scratches

I have an 96 Impala SS and it has accumulated some scratches from the kids running up the back of the car. My kids are now old enough to help wash and wax the car so I can forgive their past indiscretions. I would like some help removing these scratches. I`m willing to try anything by hand and was wondering what product to use. Should I just take it to a professional? By the way what do people think of wolfgang products. I saw a kit containing their polish and sealer for $55 on e-bay. Is it a good deal? I would like to get blackfire or Menzerna products and I was wondering if they are a little too much for newbie to handle. Any advice would be appreciated.
