Just purchased a new PC7336 at Lowe`s. I`m a newbie. I`ve been reading alot of posts here and i`m trying to figure out what couterweight i need and what size pads i should use. Does the size of the pad determine which counterweight i need? Also does the size of the pad determines which backing plate to use? I`m gonna practice on a old hood from a friends body shop before i try it on my car, or try it on the older ambulance at work. Replies greatly appreciated. Thanks.

usual pc backing plate is a 6" since the most common pad size is 6.5. but you can buy them smaller, say if you want 4" pads

i wouldnt worry about the counterweight some people claim they cant tell the difference, but if you want one i think coastaltool has them, dont know if lowes carries them.

Just stick with the counterweight you have. I have the 7336 and the 6 in. counterweight and it works fine with my hook and loop (Meg`s pads) and the Edge2000 kit. Good luck and have fun.
